Entry 1: 8-20-77 - 8-22-77

8-20-77 - Tomorrow is my big day. The first day that i venture out to make a life for myself. Everyone in town is really excited for me. Moria asked me to help her with a book she wants to write. "A Wasteland Survival Guide" or somthing. Sounds dangerous. But kinda fun. Everyone gave me some gifts. Doc Church gave me 10 stim packs, Moria gave me some bobby pins, Dad gave me a 10mm pistol, Combat knife, and a frag grenade... oooo i cant wait to blow somthing up with it. Silver, the family dog, wont let me leave without him. He was so cute, he kept biting at the bottom of my pants untill I asked him to come with me. Crow, one of the roaming caravan traders i grew up around, gave me a set of Roving Trader clothes. Last but not least, Dad gave me the empty house above The Brass Lantern. I think it is so that i feel welcome whenever I stroll back through town. Well thats enough for now, I've got an adventure to get to...

8-21-77 - As I took my first few steps into the wilderness Megatons Protectron gave me a note from Doc Hof. It was schematics for some weird type of grenade. I don't know where to find all the stuff on the list, or what Nuka-Cola Quantum even is, but when I do I can't wait to watch the artwork of the explosion it will make. I went looking around the town ruins outside of Megaton and found an old school. Springville, or somthing like that, I didn't have much time to read the sign because there were Raiders that had set up camp there. There was three outside. One tried to catch me off gaurd by hiding behind a wall, but my pistol got the best of him. Funny what a bullet to the head will do to one's moral. The other two got a nice taste of my Frag. The explosion they caused was glorious. I'm going to rest for a bit and then go inside to see what they wanted to protect.

8-21-77 - I went into the School. There were several Raider bands scattered throughout the complex on patrol. Nothing me and Silver couldn't handle. After we disbatched of the ruffians I scavenged through the rubble, you would be suprised how much damage a Frag or 3 can do to the the inside of a building. Didn't find anything too interesting; a few peices of food, a few medical suplies, the wrong type of ammo. I figure I can sell the stuff off if nothing else. After I ravanged the school I continued to explore Springville. I ran into a Psyco-Junkie who Moriarty said owed him caps. She told me her side of the story about how she work for him as a whore. I felt so bad for her, you could see the shame in her eyes, I told her that I'd tell Moriarty that she left and I couldn't find her where he said to look. I'm back in Megaton for the night, I'll repair all the Raider armor I scavenged from their bodies. see if I can't fix up the guns with one another, then I'll sell them off, Eat some dinner, and get some sleep. Today was fun, but tommorow my real adventure begins.

8-22-77 - WOW! I made alot from those armor peices and guns. I almost have 900 caps. I think everyone over payed me, But I'm ok with that. I packed 4 days worth of food. I hope I can find a settlement within that amount of time. I'm going to that Super Duper Mart Moria told me about.

8-22-77 - SHE SENT ME ON A SUICIDE MISSION!! Did she know there were RAIDERS using that place as a STRONGHOLD??!! It doesn't take a genius to figure out that raiders would be there. But luckly they were no match for Silver and me. I'm really glad we got him used to the preasure and sound of explosives as a puppy or he would be dead by now. I killed all the raiders with the grenades I've been picking off of their friends as I travel. I love watching their evil courpses flying through the air. Its so great. Especially when limbs come off. Thats the real fun. I found some medical suplies and food, which I expected to, but I never expected to find a laser pistol. I don't even know how it works to be honest. And now I'm at a loss as to where to go. I'm going to try to find somplace to sleep and repair everything I found. ooo I found this cool gas mask helmet. I think I may wear it. It could protect my lungs from the heat and gas released from the grenades. Not to mention the vaporized body particles and blood in the air. hahaha.

8-22-77 - I found a small shack called Wilhelm's Wharf. There is this nice old lady here. She is letting me stay the night. She offered me food, but I feel bad just staying, so I'll eat my own. She is telling me stories about her grandchildren whom are hunters. I think thats so cool. My grandfather hunted Yao Guai. He was the coolest... Before the Slavers got him... I'll get them back, all of them, I'll burn that hell hole to the ground... Well time for dinner, another story and some sleep.
